Some Counties in some States pay you 8% to 25% on your money from the redemption of Tax Liens, or you can buy Tax Deed Certificates. If they don't redeem you can pick up properties for as little as 5 to 10 cents on the dollar. For example with a $100,000 property, if you buy the lien or certificate, and foreclose on it you might have $5,000 to $10,000 or more into the property. This property can be held, sold for all cash, traded for another property, or sold where you carry the mortgage and collect monthly payments with interest.
